[redland-dev] ruby bindings under os x

Hello,

I thought I'd give the ruby bindings a try under os x.  The build-ruby 
target uses gcc -shared, and the gcc that ships with os x doesn't like 
-shared.

Is the solution to this use libtool here?  If there are tips to getting 
this to work (some examples to look at) I'll give it a try and submit a 
patch if I get it to work.
