[redland-dev] problems with redland 0.9.14

I have a problem using redland 0.9.14 on SuSE 8.2.
I can compile and install it, but as soon as the library is called by 
some program, I get a "segmentation fault" and that's it.

This problem did not occur with redland 0.9.12 (I haven't tried 0.9.13 yet).

Does anybody have any idea, what could be the cause for this?

Any help highly appreciated.
