Hello Redlanders

A bit of an update on some project changes in the last few weeks.

Firstly, the project has two new committers
Dave Robillard - who has been working on Raptor Turtle serializing
after he refactored the existing RDF/XML-abbrev serializer a
few releases ago. He's just added modular storage configuration
to Redland so you can dynamically load storages at runtime. This
was always in the modular design, just never enabled. It should
also help packaging and binary distributions.

Lauri Aalto - who has been committing a lot of resilience patches
(for when memory is low, in error cases), portability and fixing
    other functionality bugs.

Welcome! I'll let them say more themselves.

Now I've got the setup done for those two, it's straightforward to
add more people. The requirements include that you will work under
the existing licenses, join the redland-commits list, subscribe to the bug
tracker and have shown that you are willing/able to work on the code.

I have also just configured the mantis bug tracker to announce new bugs
to redland-dev so that people on email can see what's going on in the
world of web and IRC... somewhat.

In more general news, Redland Python & Raptor (SVN) are behind the new
W3C GRDDL service as announced by Dom in August:
  http://people.w3.org/~dom/archives/2007/08/new-w3c-grddl-service/
The service itself is at http://www.w3.org/2007/08/grddl/

There's also Triplr http://triplr.org/ that I made a few months ago
with Redland and Perl, it's meant to be "obvious" what it does :)

Finally, I'd like to get some more releases pushed out. There's one blocking
bug for Raptor's GRDDL parser before I'd want to release it but apart from
that, I think it's ready to go.

Dave
