Summary: Perl bindings should be updated on CPAN
Description:
CPAN is the primary installation method for all Perl libraries. If a user can't
install via CPAN and is forced to build and install manually, they will likely
avoid the module. There already exists a distribution on CPAN here [1], but it
is outdated and fails to build because it includes an outdated version of
redland with it. Since redland is available as a package on many operating
systems (ex. debian apt-get, Mac MacPorts, etc.), it would be better to use
redland library installed on the system. See XML::LibXML [2] for an example.
